Phoebe Mesard is our Director of Strategic Initiatives. Her focus areas in this role include development, communications, and non-profit administration. Before joining Rights Behind Bars, Phoebe worked for more than four years as an investigator at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. At PDS, she led defense investigations in felony cases, working with clients facing pretrial detention and the possibility of decades-long prison sentences.
